Delois Josephine Kinder Grimsley Miller

The funeral for Delois Josephine Kinder Grimsley Miller, 87, of Dallas, Ga., will be held Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at 3 p.m. at First African Baptist Church with Pastor Clifford Burke officiating.

Interment will follow at Jonas Lobe Cemetery with Deacon James Miller Sr., Deacon Samuel Miller, Deacon Samuel Adkins, Deacon Richard Sheffield, Alford Sheffield and Joseph Randall acting as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Watts Jr., Alan May, James Parker and Devin Freeman.

Visitation will be Friday, November 13, 2015 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Bruton Mortuary.

Mrs. Miller was born October 11, 1928 in Eldorendo, Ga. and passed away November 9, 2015 at Wellstar East Paulding Hospital, Hiram, Ga.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove M.B. Church, Marietta, Ga., and a retired teacher. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Pride of Bainbridge #479 OES, Retired Teachers’ Association and Albany State College Alumni.

She is survived by her daughter Sonja Grimsley Fambro; step-daughter, Brenda Sheffield; stepson, Charles Miller; Grandchildren Tamila Freeman and Terria Nesmith; step-grandchildren, Vanessa Thomas and Natasha McLemore; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Grace K. May.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Grace Sheffield Kinder Moore and Elbert Kinder and her husband, Rev. Weston J. Miller
