Runners show patriotism at Veteran’s Day Run Saturday

Erick Juarez and Jennifer Tappen won the overall and female championships at Saturday’s Bainbridge-Decatur County YMCAVeterans Day 10-K Run highlighting a three-run day.
Juarez finished in 39:02. Tappen finished in 39:39.
Caleb Garr (25:55) and Melissa Garner (26:00) were the overall and female winners of the YMCA’s Veterans Day 5-K Run.
First, second and third place finishers in the Veterans Day one mile fun run were Henry Lee, Sybil Lee and Ry Day.
Age division winners in the 5-K included Jackson Conley in the 14 and uner male division, and Brenna Conoley in the 14 and under female division, Adrian Parker and Faircloth Ashley Faircloth were first and second in the 20 to 29 year old 5K female division. Other 5K female winners were Margo Brenton in the 30-to-39 year old division, Jennifer Willis oin the 40 to 49 year old division, Susan
Maxwell in the 50 to 59 year old division and Paula Grollman in the 60-to-69 year old division. John Strickland won the 60 to 69 yerar old 5-K male division.
Age division winners in the 10K run included Emile Poppell in the 15-to19 year old female division, and ebecca Dilmore in the 30 to 39 year old female division .
Suzanne Angell, Stacey Sigman and Kay Cooper were first, second and third in the 40 to 49 year 10-K female division.
Lance Wilson won the 3230 to 39 year old 10K male division, Myles Gibson won the 40 to 49 year old 10K male division and Michael Sigman was second.
Other 10K winners were Felton Wright in the 50-to 59 male division, Jim Tully in the 60-to 69 male division and Carlos Zapata 70 and over male division.
