Allen Jackson “Jackie” Smith Sr.

Mr. Allen Jackson “Jackie” Smith Sr., 58, passed away Thursday, Oct. 28, 2015, in the Liberty Regional Medical Center, Hinesville, Ga., following a sudden illness.
Mr. Smith was born Aug. 10, 1957, in Homerville, Ga., to Mary Alice Adams Smith, Homerville and the late George Jackson Smith. He was a truck driver for Knight Forestry and attended the Church of God. He was preceded in death by one sister: Linda Marie Smith.
Survivors, other than his mother, are three daughters: Amy Renne Smith, Thomasville, Ga., Kathy Diane Smith and Jackie Lynn Hall, both of West Green, Ga.; one son: Allen Jackson Smith Jr., Douglas, Ga.; two brothers: George Steven “Steve” Smith, Lake Seminole, Ga. and John G. “Johnny” Smith, Homerville; special friend: Charlotte Reed, Allenhurst, Ga.; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be held Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at 2 p.m. in the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
