Bearcat Invitational sees great runs from Bainbridge, GCA runners

The Bainbridge High School Bearcats cross country team finished second in a 17 team field from Georgia, Florida and Alabama at Saturday’s Bainbridge High School Bearcats and Lady Cats annual Invitational Meet at the school track.

Poncherella Leonard was second overall with a personal best time of 16:55. Caleb Harris also had a personal best time of 17:31 and finished tenth.

The top three Bearcats runners behind Leonard and Harris in the 177-runner field were Bennett Enfinger, Brenden Greene and Perry Waddell.

The Lady Cats also had a strong effort, finishing sixth in a 13-team, 120-runner field. The top five Lady Cats were Uriyah, Davis, Camry Fillingame, Aida Diaz, Lani Jackson and Aileen Mejia. Uriyah Davis won an individual medal for third place with a personal best time of 21:58.
