Thirteen students currently enrolled in grades 2 through 5 were present for the first week of Afterschool Arts held Thursday at the Firehouse Arts Center.
The students were learning basic drawing skills at the first session, as they enjoyed drawing coffee mugs.
The six-week session of classes will be held each Thursday beginning at 4:15 p.m. Cost of $90 covers all materials. In addition to drawing skills, they will be exploring painting and ceramics.
Instructor Rebecca Kasilus and Art Director Ali White, said they were pleased with the turnout this year, while adding there is still room for a few new enrollees.
They can register at Artsy on the Square, or by calling the Firehouse Arts Center at 243-1010 or by email artdirector@bainbridge.com.
