Mr. Gary Paul Lashley

Mr. Gary Paul Lashley, age 58, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015, at Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, Georgia.  A memorial service will be held in his honor, at 4 p.m., Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Ron Kirkland will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 3.

Paul was born May 23, 1957, in Donalsonville, Georgia, to Bartow Lashley, Jr. and Othell Weems Lashley.  He worked as an engine technician.  Paul liked to cook, especially grill. Mr. Lashley loved the outdoors. He fished and camped. Spring Creek was his retreat. Paul Lashley was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. He so loved his family, especially his granddaughter, Mia.  Paul had many friends and will be sorely missed.

Paul Lashley is survived by his wife, June Smith Lashley; daughter, April Lashley and fiancé, Larry Cantley, Jr.; mother, Othell Day; sisters, Joan Lashley and Celia Fowler, all of Bainbridge; brother, Tim Lashley and wife, Carmen of Tallahassee, Florida; granddaughter, Mia Cantley; mother-in-law, Ruth Smith; brother-in-laws, Buford Smith and Joey Stoebe, all of Bainbridge; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bartow Lashley, Jr., and brothers, Danny and Greg Lashley.
