Seventh grade Bearcats football soars to 40-8 win over Thomasville Bulldogs

The seventh grade Bearcats football team tallied up 40 points before Thomasville’s first score Wednesday, and Bainbridge beat the Bulldogs 40-8.
Running back Reshad Broadnax had two touchdowns for the evening. The first came with 3:55 left n the first quarter on a 35-yard run. Jvon Lee scored on the 2-point conversion to push the score to 8-0.
Running back Caleb McDowell scored second after Thomasville fumbled on their own 14-yard line. McDowell ran in for the touchdown and Lee scored again for the 2-point conversion.
Broadnax’s second touchdown came with 7:27 left in the second quarter, where he ran for 49-yards to the end zone. Cosby ran off guard for the 2-point conversion, and the score was 24-0.
The Bearcat’s found the end zone again with 3:14 left in the second quarter when Cosby ran 29-yards for the touchdown. Running back Courtney Thomas score the 2-point conversion.
Bainbridge’s final touchdown came with just over a minute left in the half. McDowell scooped a Bulldog fumble and ran in 47 yards to the house, and quarterback Quayde Hawkins snuck into the end zone for the 2-point conversion.
Thomasville score with a minute left in the game to round out a 69-yard drive and passed for the 2-point conversion.
The Bearcat’s next game is Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Cairo. Kick off is at 5 p.m.
