Will Tomlinson

Will Tomlinson, 66, of Whigham, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at his residence.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Bainbridge Church of God with Pastor Waylon Day officiating. Interment will be at Beulah Thomas Baptist Church Cemetery with his children and grandchildren serving as active pallbearers. The men of the Bainbridge Church of God will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Bainbridge Church of God prior to the service. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com. Mr. Tomlinson was born December 25, 1948 in Bainbridge, Ga., the son of Edgar Tomlinson and Fannie Lee Kent Tomlinson. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and worked as a driver for Bennett Seafood for many years. Mr. Tomlinson was a member of Bainbridge Church of God where he volunteered at the soup kitchen and delivered plates. Will loved farm animals and especially enjoyed watching things grow in his garden. Mr. Tomlinson was a lay minister at Memorial Manor and other churches in the area when needed. Anytime Mr. Tomlinson was around people, he was happy.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine J. Tomlinson of Whigham; his children, Teresa Tomlinson of Fruitland Park, Fla., Ken Tomlinson and his wife, Kimberly, of Iron City, Ga., Keith Tomlinson and his wife, Gail, of Brinson, Ga., Kevin Tomlinson and his wife, Jennifer, of Bainbridge, Ga., Kenneth Tomlinson and his wife, Tina, of Savannah, Ga. and Terry Umbrell and his wife, Kris, of Summerfield, Fla.; his sister, Mae Harmon of Cusseta, Ga.; his grandchildren, Zackery Givens, MacKenzi Tomlinson, Logan Brown, Laura Jones, Lynsey Jones, Kaitlin Tomlinson, Jasmine Tomlinson, Daniel Tomlinson, Brittany Tomlinson, Will Tomlinson, Casey Tomlinson, Dawson Tomlinson, Jason Shaffer, Christopher Meadows, Haylee Meadows, Lilly Meadows, Morgan Umbrell, Hayden Umbrell and Rachel Umbrell; and his great-grandchildren, Bentley Hyatt and Bryson Hyatt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his great-grandchild, Braxton Givens.
