Harold Gene Vickers, 60, of Bainbridge, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at his residence.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thomas P. Long officiating, and will conclude in the chapel. Interment will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Bruce Kelley, Donnie McMillan, Joey McMillan, Ronnie McMillan, Jimmy Barnes and Bill Welch will serve as active pallbearers.

Mr. Vickers was born September 12, 1954 in Donalsonville. He attended Bainbridge High School and was of the Baptist faith. He was a fiber line operator and worked in inventory control for Amoco Fabrics, and retired in 1990.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Reita Poole Vickers of Bainbridge; his children, Vanessa Vickers Arthur, Harold Gene Vickers, Jr., and Helena JoBeth Vickers, all of Bainbridge; his brothers, Doug Vickers of Bainbridge, Bobby Joe Vickers of Donalsonville, Jackie Lee Vickers of Iron City, and William Earl Vickers of Bainbridge; his sisters, Elizabeth Vickers Snellgrove of Ashford, Ala., Sharon Vickers Harrell of Bainbridge, Betty Vickers McClendon of Charlotte, N.C., Edna Davis of Bainbridge, and Gail Hadley of Whigham, Ga.; and his grandchildren, Bryson Arthur, Drew Arthur, MacKenzie Vickers, and Emori Vickers. He was preceded in death by his father, William Hatcher Vickers; his mother, BettyJoe McMillan Johnson; and his sisters, Pearl Cook and Julie West.
