Lowell Coppinger, 82, of Bainbridge, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home.
A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 with Rev. Paul Medley and Rev. Art Bruce officiating. Online visitors may sign the guest register at

Lowell was born January 28, 1933 in Attapulgus, Ga., the son of E. H. “Cowboy” Coppinger and Essie Mae Clarke Coppinger. He was a retired machinist and partner of Bainbridge Machine Company, and a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He loved hunting, fishing, and sharing time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Rich Coppinger of Bainbridge; his stepdaughter, Beth Molina (Ray) of Merritt Island, Fla.; his brother, Harold S. Coppinger (Gloria) of Donalsonville; his step-grandchildren, Emily and Lisa; and 5 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his stepson, Michael C. “Mike” Hammer.
