Mobley will be missed by many

When it rains, it pours.
The past year has seen a number of pillars of the Bainbridge community pass away, including Dr. Edward Mobley.
Mobley died Tuesday morning at his residence. He was 82 years old.
Bainbridge would not be what it is today without the leadership of Mobley. As the first president of Bainbridge’s own college, then called Bainbridge Junior College, Mobley helped educate hundreds of students over a number of years. He was a lover of animals, a musician and loyal to his community.
Mobley will be dearly missed. His footprint is left and Bainbridge, and his spirit will always be present in the halls of Bainbridge State College and through the rest of the city.
We at The Post-Searchlight give our condolences to his family, friends and all who were ever brightened by Mobley’s cheer and presence.
