Emmett E. Inlow Jr., 89, of Bainbridge, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Medley officiating. Interment followed at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Ed Jordan, John Watts Jr, Sam Jones, Charlie Godwin, Tommy Williamson and Joe Todd serving as active pallbearers.

Mr. Inlow was born August 9, 1925 in Bainbridge, the son of Emmett Edgar Inlow and Annie Pigott Inlow. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and the University of Georgia. He was very active in First Baptist Church where he was a former Chairman of the Board of Deacons and volunteered for many of the youth programs. He was a member of Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce and Bainbridge Jaycees, and volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America and many community youth programs.

Survivors include his sons, Steve Inlow of Watkinsville, Ga, John Inlow and his wife, Judy, of Fishersville, Va, Jimmy Inlow and his wife, Carol, of Bainbridge, Billy Inlow of Bainbridge, and Bobby Inlow and his wife, Faith, of Crawfordville, Fla.; his daughter, Stephanye Inlow Peek and her husband, Dale, of Marietta, Ga.; his grandchildren, Beth I. Harper, Amy I. Dunn, Becky I. Gaddy, Jonathan Peek, Joshua Peek, Kyle Inlow, Jordan Inlow, Libby Inlow, and Carson Inlow; and his great-grandchildren, Adrienne Gaddy, Caroline Gaddy, Berkley Harper, Amber Gaddy, Brayden Inlow, and William Harper. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hodges Inlow.
