Bainbridge High School senior Eric Connor was the recipient of the 2015 DRF1XC Memorial Scholarship, a local scholarship reserved for senior cross-country students.
“I was really honored by it,” Connor said. “I guess I was more honored by knowing the whole family and having my name connected with Dylan’s.”
The Dylan Reid Faircloth Tha First Cross-Country Memorial Scholarship is funded through the annual Epic 5K Challenge.
Conner attended church with Faircloth when he was younger.
“Eric is a great kid and has shown dedication and involvement in the community,” said June Faircloth, Dylan’s mother and founder of the DRF1XC scholarship.
“I want to thank my coaches, every coach I’ve had through the process and my parents, Miss June and God,” Connor said.
