Louise J. (Califf) Wilson, 76, of Bainbridge, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Bainbridge Church Of God with Rev. Jamie Rivera and Rev. Waylon Day officiating. Interment will be at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the men of Bainbridge Church Of God serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at

Ms. Wilson was born August 16, 1938 in Bainbridge, the daughter of Luther Jenkins and Annie Pearl Cross Jenkins. She was a dedicated member of Bainbridge Church Of God for 44 years, volunteered at the Soup Kitchen and served in many capacities of the church. Ms. Wilson loved her family, flowers and traveling and was known for telling it like it is.

Survivors include her children, Dennis Newsome and his wife, Pam, of Lake Seminole, Ga., Machelle Harrell and her husband, Ken, of Dade City, Fla., Latrisa C. Roberts of Lake Seminole, Pam Combast and her husband, Lewis, of Hudson, Fla. and Carla Parrish and her husband, Aaron, of Bainbridge; her siblings, Bobby Jenkins of Albany, Ga., Chirl Phillips of Bainbridge,  and Teresa Lane of Hogansville, Ga.; her grandchildren, Cody, Aubrey, Dana, Dominique, KathiLee, Jessica, Jordan, Martin, Ashley, Morgan and Carlee; her great-grandchildren, Dae’von, Hillary, Hadleigh, Faithlynn and Zayden. In addition to her parents; her first husband, Larry Califf she was preceded in death by her brothers, Elmer Jenkins and Billy Wayne Jenkins.
