The Bainbridge Little Theatre will hold auditions for the spring musical, “The Producers,” on Monday and Tuesday, March 2 and 3 at 7 p.m. at the theatre, located at 220 E. Troupe Street.

The musical comedy penned by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan tells the story of a producer down on his luck who schemes with an accountant to raise thousands of dollars from backers, then put on a flop. With the leftover money the two would be rich. But one thing goes wrong—the show is a big hit.

“The Producers” will be directed by Jacob Jones of Columbus, Ga., with musical direction by Mike Inlow and choreography by Susan Higdon of Tallahassee.

The production calls for a large cast of dancers, singers and actors. Those auditioning should come prepared to sing eight bars of any song.

Performance dates are weekends beginning April 30 through May 10.
