William “Bill” Glisson
William “Bill” Glisson, 81, of Castroville, Texas, passed away Feb. 1, 2015 in San Antonio.
Bill was born March 26, 1933 in Decatur County, Ga. and graduated from Faceville High School. He moved to Texas in 1950 to serve in the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of Oklahoma University. He was a civilian member of the USAF for over 38 years and had a rewarding career rich with friends and professional associates. He believed that every day should include learning, teaching, and having fun and sharing that philosophy with everyone. Bill also believed that sharing the fruits of life enriched the lives of everyone.
He was preceded in death by his father, Levin W. Glisson; mother, Ruby V. Glisson Crawford; brothers George Ruben Glisson and Col. Bobby Glisson.
Survivors include his daughter, Catherine Glisson; grandson Taylor Glisson; brother James “Nick” Glisson and wife Dorothy; a sister, Joyce Glisson Mitchell and a dear companion, Marsha K. Lindsey.
Arrangements were with Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home of Castroville.
