J. Carlton Bryan, 74, of Bainbridge, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at his residence.
The funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Johns officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery with Michael Purvis, Mike Belisle, Devin Thompson, Ricky Prince, Jim Roberts, and Braxton Granthum serving as active pallbearers.

Mr. Bryan was born December 29, 1940 in Lenox, Ga., the son of Jessie Calhoun Bryan and Elizabeth Phillips Bryan. Carlton was a diesel mechanic for Suber Farms and a member of Faceville Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Donna T. Bryan of Bainbridge; his children, Alan Bryan and his wife, Nell, of Lake Alford, Fla., Alan McLendon and his wife, Tammy, of Valdosta, Ga., Melissa Godby of Bainbridge, and Candy Victory and her husband, Todd, of Ocala, Fla.; his siblings, Benjamin Bryan and his wife, Betty, of Blackshear, Ga., Laverne Sumner and her husband, Ray, of Lenox, Ga.,, Ann Granthum and her husband, Braxton, of Tifton, GA, Donna Kinchen and her husband, Larry, of Macon, GA, and Marie Burroughs and her husband, Jim, of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Dawayne, Brandy, Will, Ali, Peyton, Danielle, Dylan, Josh, Ashley, Kaylyn, Jacenda, Matthew, Johnny Gary, Aleshia, and Jessica; and his 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Elizabeth Bryan.
