Are you still worrying about what to buy your sweetheart for Valentine’s Day? One thing you can treat your loved one to is the Valentine’s Progressive Dinner, hosted by the downtown restaurants, on Friday, February 13. This year there is an additional course to the dining experience in downtown Bainbridge.

“It’s going to be awesome,” said Amanda Glover, Downtown Development Authority executive director. “We’re trying to encourage people to stay for Valentine’s Day. It’s a great way to keep people downtown.”

It will be an evening of fine drinks, food and dessert. From 5 – 6 p.m., Crave Eatery will be offering the first course of hors d’oeuvres and refreshments, followed by soup/salad at Toole’s Cakes and Deli, the main course at Port City Deli, and the evening will be capped with coffee and dessert at The Bean. Tickets are $55 per person and include your choice of bacon-wrapped stuffed pork roast or stuffed Cornish hens burgundy, and is accompanied with grilled asparagus, twice baked potato, and dinner rolls. The cost of the dinner ticket also includes your choice of craft beer or a glass of wine at Crave Eatery.

The event will be similar to a Christmas dinner done in previous years, but the DDA decided to spread out some of its events during the congested winter months.

“We’re hopefully going to make it more of a tradition around Valentine’s Day,” Glover said.

Seating is limited to 50 people, almost half of which has already sold. Contact Amanda Glover at 229-400-9093 or by emailamandag@bainbridgecity.com to purchase your tickets today.
