Miss Watson to wed Mr. Strong

Duane and Deborah Watson, of Bainbridge, announce the engagement of their daughter, Deanne Meredith Watson to David Joseph “D.J.” Strong Jr., son of Dot and Thomas Strong and the late David Strong, of Blountstown, Fla.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Wilburn and Mildred Watkins of Covington, Ga. and Ralph and Mary Watson of Dawsonville, Ga.

Miss Watson is a 2005 graduate of Bainbridge High School. In 2009 she graduated from Georgia Southern University, where she studied  marketing/management and child and family development. In 2010 she graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Esani in Alpharetta with a cosmetology diploma.

She is employed as a master cosmetologist at Angel Hair Salon.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Donald and Ilene Henderson of Grand Ridge, Fla. and of the late Louis and Blanche Strong of Blountstown.

Mr. Strong graduated from Blountstown High School in 2003 and is attending Bainbridge College where he is majoring in nursing. He is employed at Quality Inn.

The wedding is planned for March 7 at 4 p.m. at Grace Church. Family and friends are invited to attend the wedding and reception.
