Alton “Skeet” Hurley, 74, of Bainbridge, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Memorial Hospital.
The memorial service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2014 at Mars Hill Church. Online visitors may sign the guest register at

Mr. Hurley was born April 8, 1940 in Decatur County, GA, the son of Jessie Alton Hurley and Martha Jane Combast Hurley.
Mr. Hurley loved to do woodwork as well as fish. He loved life and lived it to the fullest each day.
Survivors include his children, Eddie Hurley and his wife, Debbie, of Baconton, Ga., Ricky Hurley and his wife, Julie, of New Port Richey, Fla., Jeff Hurley and his wife, Kathy, of Brinson, Sue Alday and her husband, Bubba, of Bainbridge, Belinda Stewart of Bainbridge, Dolores Hurley of Bainbridge,  Violet Argo of Albany, Ga.; his brother, J. E. Hurley and his wife, Robin, of Palm Harbor, Fla., his sisters, Inez Howard of Union, S.C., Maggie Brinson and her husband, Roy, of Palm Harbor, Fla., Agnes Miserak of Bainbridge, Jewel Woobery and her husband, Bill, of Old Town, Fla., Irene Walker and her husband, Jerry, of Old Town, Ruby Harasymtzuk of Palm Harbor; his 16 grandchildren; and his 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Wingate Hurley; his siblings, Leroy Hurley and Dorothy Morrison; and his grandchild, Rebecca Stewart.
Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
