Miss Smith and Mr. Herndon to wed in February

Roger and Tana Smith of Bainbridge are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Meagan Smith to Jaston Herndon, son of Rick and Gaye Herndon of Tallahassee, Fla.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Remus and Wanda Matthews and of Charlton M. and Carolyn Smith, all of Bainbridge.

She is a 2007 graduate of Bainbridge High School and holds a nursing degree from Southwest Georgia Technical College. She is employed at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Cardiovascular/Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit as a Registered Nurse.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Wendell and Faye Fetzer of Okatie, S.C. and the late Dick and Nelle Herndon of Savannah. He is a 2007 graduate of Lawton Chiles High School and holds a degree in political science from Florida State University.

He is employed with Insight Catastrophe Group.

The wedding is planned for First United Methodist Church in Bainbridge on February 7, 2015 at 4 p.m. The reception will follow at the Charles H. Kirbo Center.
