A farcical comedy titled, “A Dickens Christmas Carol: A Traveling Travesty in Two Tumultuous Acts,” will be presented this weekend at the Bainbridge Little Theatre by the veteran actors of BLT.
The story takes a silly twist on an old Christmas favorite, as the play within a play revolves around a traveling troop of stuffy, worn-out English actors who set out to perform “the 15th annual Farewell Tour of the Charles Dickens Holiday Classic.”
Everything goes wrong and the resulting mayhem is where the comedy enters the picture.
The cast includes Scott Brown, Austin Rowe, Richard Whitehead, Stephanie Jones, Kathy Sarrett, Josh Lynn and Marie Stapleton, under the direction of Misty Brown. She describes the show as “laugh out loud funny.”
The show opens on the BLT stage Friday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. continues Saturday evening and concludes on Sunday, Dec. 7 at a 2:30 p.m. matinee.
