Mr. and Mrs. Michael W. Johnson of Douglasville, Georgia are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Olivia Sharlay Johnson to Thomas Edward Morgan, III.

Thomas is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Morgan, Jr. of Marietta, Georgia.

The couple met in Cortona, Italy while attending a University of Georgia Study Abroad Program.

Olivia received a Doctoral degree from the University Of Georgia College Of Pharmacy in 2012. After completing a two-year residency program at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Olivia received a Medical ICU Clinical Pharmacist position with the University of North Carolina Hospitals.

Olivia is the granddaughter of John and Bernice McGhee of Atmore, Alabama and Wilma Johnson of Bainbridge, Georgia and the late Willard Johnson.

Thomas received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Georgia and is currently enrolled in a Masters of Nursing program at Georgia Regents University in Augusta, Georgia, where he will earn the title of Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL). Upon graduation in December 2014, Thomas plans to pursue a career in critical care nursing.

Thomas is the grandson of Kay Sharp and the late Herbert Sharp of Ellijay, Georgia. Thomas is also the grandson of the late Carmen Morgan and Dr. Thomas E. Morgan, Sr. of Lawrenceville, Georgia.

The couple will be married January 24, 2015 at Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta, After a honeymoon to the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
