Jack E. Batts, 70, of Lake Seminole, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Memorial Manor; on what would have been the 46th wedding anniversary of his marriage to his wife, who preceded him in death earlier this year.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Bainbridge Church of God with Pastor Jamie Rivera officiating. Interment will be at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Chris Kelley, Tim McClaughlin, Waylon Day, Lyn Floyd, Wade Lang and Marc Pollock serving as active pallbearers.

Mr. Batts was born January 19, 1944 in Columbus, Ga., the son of Blake Jackson Batts and Ruth Mainor Batts. He was a graduate of West Bainbridge High School and a retired glass press machinist. Mr. Batts was a member of Bainbridge Church of God. He loved fishing and could repair just about anything. Mr. Batts always considered himself the boss and it was his way or the highway. He wanted everyone to know that he loved you.
Survivors include his daughters, Veda Adkins and her husband, Richard, of Altha, Fla., Pamela Newsome and her husband, Dennis, of Donalsonville, and Nicole Glass and her husband, Steve, of Bainbridge; his sister, Sandra Harrell of Bainbridge; his grandchildren, Christina Gordon, Niklas Isler, Hannah Klock, Hadleigh Klock, and Haydyn Klock; his great-grandson, Landon Cash Tipton; and his special friends, Rev. and Mrs. Jamie Rivera.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Faye Batts; and his parents.
