Tuesday night a Bainbridge woman was shot while sitting on the porch of a friend’s Miller Avenue home.
Sheritta Brown was transported to Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare Tuesday night by Decatur EMS after being shot in the shoulder.
Bainbridge Public Safety arrested Gabriel Larod Washington, 32, and charged him with aggravated assault in relation to the incident.
According to the incident report, Brown was sitting on the porch with an acquaintance that reported hearing six shots. Witnesses believed the incident was in relation to an altercation earlier that day that did not involve Brown.
The bullet went all the way through Brown’s right shoulder.
The case is still open for investigation.
