Wayne Holt, 67, of Bainbridge, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014
at Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Sam Sirmons officiating, and concluded at the chapel. Interment was at Colquitt Cemetery with Philip Moore, Jason Holt, Benji Holt, Brett Dobbins, Stacey Smith, and Greg McCullough serving as active pallbearers.

Mr. Holt was born Dec. 16, 1946 in Colquitt, Ga., the son of the late Jim Henry Holt and Willie Lee McCullers Holt. He was in the National Guard for seven years and retired as a prison warden with the department of corrections. His family will always remember how he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved trading and getting good deals. Mr. Holt was a member of the Hasan Shrine Temple.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Rita Cleveland Holt of Bainbridge; his children, Darren Holt and his wife, Stacy, of Bainbridge, Mendy McCullough and her husband, Robert, of Bainbridge, and Kim Furney and her husband, Justin, of Monroe, Ga.; his siblings, Jack Holt and his wife, Wavie, of Colquitt, MacArthur Holt of Pensacola, Fla., Sue Henderson and her husband, Eddie, of Ashford, Ala., and Dianna Holt of Colquitt; his sister-in-law, Glenda Holt of Colquitt; his grandchildren, Nicolette Holt, Logan Holt, Brooke Dobbins, Brett Dobbins, and Alli Furney; and his faithful dog, Oscar.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jimmy Holt, Billy Holt, Tim Holt, Ronnie Holt, and Pam Creel.
Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
