Norman Wayne Johnson, 54, of Bainbridge, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at his residence.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Stephens, Rev. Robert Johns, and Rev. Donnie Browning officiating. Interment followed at Sylvania Cemetery with Sean Neel, Hunter Neel, David Johnson, Bill Allen, Ronnie Spooner, Hank Keels, and Steve Bray serving as active pallbearers. The family received friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Ivey Funeral Home.

Norm was born Jan. 9, 1960 in Bainbridge, and was a graduate of Chattahoochee High School, Class of 1978. He was an electrician with Hannah Solar and was a member of Sylvania United Methodist Church. Norm loved time
spent outdoors hunting and fishing. He was a former fishing guide for Wingate’s Lodge and enjoyed helping with Wingate’s Boy’s Camp. He was a devoted and loving son and brother.

Survivors include his parents, Alvin S. “Turkey” Johnson and Sarah C. Johnson of Bainbridge; his sisters, Alva Sue Allen of Bainbridge, and Marilyn Hall and her husband, Dick, of Grand Junction, Colorado; his nephews, Brian Thompson and his wife, BeBe, and Michael Thompson; and his great-nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Thompson, Ashton Thompson, and Jaden
Dibenedetto.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
