Dorothy Widner McCorkle, 84, of Bainbridge, passed away Friday, August
8, 2014 at her residence.
The graveside funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August
11, 2014 at Blakely Cemetery with Rev. Scott Messer officiating. The family received friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. McCorkle was born Dec. 15, 1929 in Colquitt, Ga., the daughter of
Samuel Ealy Widner and Addie Gray Widner. She was a retired seamstress and
attended the Donalsonville First Church of Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat W. McCorkle.

Survivors include her children, Janice Long and her husband, Jerry, of
Bainbridge, Dan McCorkle and his wife, Sandra, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and
Don McCorkle and his wife, Frances, of Blakely; her siblings, Irene West
of Colquitt, and Buddy Widner of Dothan, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and
several great-grandchildren.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
