Runners line up for BHS cross-country season

Coach Yvette Greene’s Bainbridge High School Bearcats and Lady Cats cross country teams will open their season Saturday, Aug. 23, when they host the Pelham High School Hornets and Lady Hornets.
Runners returning for the Bearcats this season are sophomore Chase Harris, junior Perry Waddell, junior Branden Greene, junior Bennett Enfinger, junior Grayson Graham, sophomore Wright Cook and junior Brad Cox. Jemia Powell is also back for the Lady Cats.
The second meet for the Bearcats and Lady Cats is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6 when they travel to Tallahassee, Florida, to compete in the Godby High School Cougars and Lady Cougars Cross-Country Challenge.
On Saturday, Sept. 13, they will host the Lee County High School Trojans and Lady Trojans and on Saturday, Sept. 20, they will host an invitational meet in Bainbridge.
The Bearcats and lady Cats will travel to Thomasville Saturday, Sept. 27, to compete in the Quail Trail 5,000 meter run and on Saturday, Oct. 4, they will compete in the Westover High School Patriots and Lady Patriots Invitational Meet in Albany.
Saturday, Oct.11, the Bearcats and Lady Cats will be at Florida State University competing in their invitational meet.
Saturday, Oct.18, they will be in Americus competing in the Americus-Sumpter County High School Panthers and Lady Panthers Invitational Meet and Saturday, Oct. 25, they will be in Thomas County competing in the Thomas County Central High School Yellow Jackets and Lady Yellow Jackets Invitational Meet.
