Ginga Jacobson Cole

July 26, 2014

Ginga Jacobson Cole, 76, of Atlanta, GA and Bainbridge, GA, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at St. John’s Episcopal Church followed by a graveside service at Oak City Cemetery.

Ginga was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of Herbert Reinhold Jacobson and Miriam Haire Jacobson. She was a college graduate, Episcopalian, and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Ginga loved being outdoors. giving occasional parties, and visiting outdoors with friends. Her hobbies were reading and writing. She cared a great deal about animals and routinely donated to such charities throughout the United States, and sadly leaves behind her four-legged family.

Memorial donations may be made to the Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society, 1250 Cox Ave., Bainbridge, GA 39819.

Survivors include her sister, Linda Jacobson.

Ginga was a strong believer in our Lord Jesus Christ. To a small number of friends she related an unexpected but most welcomed vision of a few years ago while sleeping in her bed in Bainbridge, and wanted to share it now with others. In the middle of the night, she suddenly and clearly heard the distinct and beautiful voice of God who said only seven words to her and then was gone. She had not heard from Him before, nor has she since. God said “I’m going to take you home soon.” And so He did.
