Aldene Reffitt

Funeral services for Aldene Reffitt, 86, of Whigham, Georgia, are at 3 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Magnolia Baptist Church, Whigham.  Rev. Bob Knight will officiate. Interment will be in Butler Cemetery, Whigham.

Mrs. Reffitt passed away at her home in Grady County, on Wednesday, July 16, 2014.

Active pallbearers will be her grandson: Richard Brown, Shannon Reffitt, Terry Reffitt, Jason Tate, Kenneth Reffitt and Brian Harrell.

Mrs. Reffitt was born on June 30, 1928, in Fort Myers, Florida, to the late William Henry Haire and Minnie Lee Walden Haire.  She married Clay Reffitt, who preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1979.  She was a homemaker and a member of Magnolia Baptist Church, Whigham.

Mrs. Reffitt was preceded in death by her parents, husband, great-grandson, brother and a sister.

Survivors include a  son, Kenneth Reffitt (Ursula) of Whigham; daughters, Peggy Thomas of Whigham, Mary Tate (Jerry) of Cairo, Betty Harrell (Nelson) of Climax, Judy Sadler (Ronnie) of Pelham; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alice Anderson of Whigham.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, July 18, 2014, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
