Funeral services for Curtis Eugene Sadler, 89, of Pelham, were held Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home, with interment in Brock Cemetery in Decatur County. The Reverends Lynn Roberts and Nathan Fowler officiated.
Born Feb. 14, 1925 in Decatur County, he was the son of the late Emanuel Lafayette and Susan Sadler. Mr. Sadler was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy and a lifelong farmer of Mitchell and Grady Counties. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Velma Sadler; a son Randall Sadler; parents, Emanuel and Susan Sadler; sisters Lou Glass and Geneta Vandal and one brother J. E. Sadler.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Dianne and Verlyn Fenn of Pelham; daughter-in-law Sue Sadler of Pelham; sister Nell Malphurs of Tallahassee, Fla.; grandchildren, Krista McPherson, Missy Addison, Hope Doolittle, Curt Sadler and Windel Cooper; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Willis-Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham was in charge of arrangements.
