Sandy Baker finished fourth in the 11 and 12-year-old girls butterfly and Eion Turner finished sixth in the 10-and-under relay, sixth in the medley relay and seventh in the freestyle relay.

Other swimmers who are performing well include Karli Willis, Christi Whitaker, Canissa White, Jewel Anvar, Ali Bennett, Thad Whitaker, Ryan Smith, Paige Overman, Dax Willis, Xarissa White, Rylan Barrett, Kaidon Gibbs and Josh Fillingame.

The Barracudas will return to action this Saturday when they travel to Moultrie for the Moultrie Swim Invitational Meet. It will be their final tune up for the Georgia Recreaton and Parks Association GRPA District 3 Meet Friday and Saturday, July 18 and 19 in Tifton.

An additional home swim meet could be added to the schedule. If confirmed, it could be against Marianna Florida either the last weekend in June or after the state meet.

Barracuda coaches Becki Miller and Jennifer Clements say they know that hard work and dedication in practice and at meets bring positive results and they are very pleased with the progress their swimmers are making.

“All of our swimmers are working hard and turning in god times,” Miller said.

“Several of our times are continuing to drop,” added Clements. We really brought home a lot of ribbons from the Thomasville YMCA Meet. Our swimmers are really coming to practice and working out hard.”

Swimmers are practicing each Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Bainbridge City Pool on Potter Street.
