Milton Howard Davis, 63, of Bainbridge, passed away Thursday, May 15,
2014 at his residence.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Brinson Cemetery with Peter Davis, Dontorrius Davis, Kentavius Jackson, Richard Wheeler, Doug Powe, and George Mavris serving as active pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Ivey Funeral Home.
Mr. Davis was born Jan. 25, 1951 in Albany, Ga., the son of C.L. and Hazel Bentley Davis. He was a veteran of the United States Army, was a truck driver, and a mechanic with Bainbridge Service Center. Mr. Davis enjoyed time fishing with his grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his big heart and will be missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Cecilia Hodges Davis of Bainbridge; his children, Cynthia Davis of Bainbridge, and Tiffany Whiddon of Whigham, Ga.; his step-children, Richard A. Wheeler, Jr. of Bainbridge, and Chris Smith of West Palm Beach, Fla.; his grandchildren, Peter Davis, Dontorrius Davis, Kentavius Jackson, Shariana Davis, and Lidabeth Whiddon; his siblings, Frank Davis and his wife, Edith, of Baconton, Ga., Carolyn Ingle of Bainbridge, Brenda Gordon and her husband, Buddy, of Bainbridge, David Davis of Bainbridge, Debbie Hurley and her husband, Eddie, of Baconton, James Davis of Baconton, and Elizabeth Clemons and her husband, Adam, of Bainbridge; numerous nieces and nephews; and many
friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Fredrick Davis; his brother-in-law, Gary Ingle; and a nephew, Ricky Davis.
