Services for Eddie Belle Shields, 86, were held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Cooktown Road, Decatur County, with Rev. Dexter Thurmond, officiating.

Eddie Belle Shields was the daughter of the late Mr. Calvin (Evelyn) Baldwin. She was born Aug. 20, 1927 in Colquitt, Georgia. She departed this life on Saturday, April 26, 2014.

Sister Shields was educated in the Miller and Decatur County School Systems.  She accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age and joined the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She served at Macedonia faithfully until her health failed.

Sister Shields leaves to cherish her memories one loving sister, Agnes Baldwin, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Interment was in Pilgrim Rest AME Church Cemetery, Decatur County, with Alvin Anderson, Craig Baldwin, Dennis Baldwin, Doug Baldwin, Sam Baldwin, Phillip Sanders acting as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were: Ray Baldwin, Kenneth Parrish, Deacon. Jimmie Sanders Sr.
