Charles E. Barber

Charles E. Barber, 60, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Charles was a journey wireman with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) for 35 years. He was a devoted and loving husband and father.
Charles is survived by his wife Susan Barber; daughters Jana and Carlie Barber of Monticello, Fla.; two step-children, Bobby McNeely III and Taryn Scott of Swainsboro, Ga.; mother Lorata Barber of Odum, Ga.; brothers Jim Barber and wife Linda of Macon, Bill Barber and wife Karen of Powder Springs, Ga.; sisters Frances Reynolds of Odum and Traci Manning and husband Eric of Odum; as well as four nieces; three nephews and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Harry J. Barber.
The family will hold a memorial service on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Olive Baptist Church, 7369 Boston Hwy., Monticello. The family will be receiving friends following the service at the church.
Beggs Monticello Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
