Coach Amy Thomas’s Bainbridge High School Bearcats and Lady Cats tennis teams swept a pair of Region 1-AAAAA victories over the Thomas County Central High School  Yellow Jackets and Lady Yellow Jackets Thursday.
The Bearcats won 5-0 and the Lady Cats won 4-1. Bearcat Hema Hasona defeated R.J. Hufsteller 6-1, 6-0 in number one boys singles and his brother Nour Hasona defeated Chris Lockhart 6-0, 6-2 in number two singles.
The Bearcats made it a 3-0 singles sweep when Jones Gossett defeated Hunter Green 6-0, 63 at number three singles.
The Bearcats number one doubles team of Jack Reynolds and Bennett defeated Nic Ludecke and Douglas Howard 6-0, 6-3.
The Bearcats number two doubles team of Reid Willis and Grayson Graham defeated Jimmy Johnson and Peter Jackson 6-1, 6-4.
The Lady Cats number one singles player Katie Johnson lost to Taylor Greene 1-6, 4-6. The Lady Cats number two singles player Emma Kate Smith defeated Hannah Jones 4-6, 6-4, 6-0.
The Lady Cats number three singles player Lynsey Waddell defeated Avery Barrett 6-2, 6-2.
The Lady Cats number one doubles team of  Mallie Rollins and Stephanie Mayfield  defeated Sydney Roberson and Emily Dukes 6-0, 6-1 .
The Lady Cats number two doubles team of  Anna Beth Bowles and Maci Barber defeated Tessa Mccorkle and Kacy Jones 6-1, 6-4.
