Mrs. Lannie B. Roberts, 79, of Bainbridge, passed away March 14, 2014 in Stockbridge, Ga.
Services for Mrs. Roberts will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Greater Macedonia M.B. Church, with Nathan Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Jonas Lobe Cemetery with friends of the family acting as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Bruton Mortuary.
Mrs. Roberts was born April 28, 1934 in Decatur County. She is retired from Bainbridge Health Care and from Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Morning Star Baptist Church where she was on the usher board.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dewitt Roberts Sr. and her parents Mathis and Lucille Biggles.
Survivors include her sons, Dewitt Roberts Jr., Rev. Eugene Roberts, Harvey, Nathaniel, Calvin, Sylvester, Lawrence and Gregory Roberts; daughters, Irene Edmonds, Carolyn Wise, Shirley Justice, Sylvia Washington, Brenda Roberts, Lachanda Mackey, Donna Roberts; a sister Ruth Johnson and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and other relatives.
Bruton Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
