Kenneth W. Butler, CMSgt. USAF (Ret.) and Delores Gilbert Butler recently
celebrated their 50th anniversary of marriage. Ken and Delores have had a very colorful career of 28 years of military service and they are the owners and operators of three family businesses in Wasilla, Alaska.
They repeated their vows of marriage with their pastor of 18 years, Pastor Ethan Hansen of Faith Bible Fellowship Church in Big Lake, Alaska on the 2nd day of June, 2013, the exact date and time of the original ceremony. Selected scripture reading was presented by Otto Feather, Colonel, USAF (Ret.) from the original bible presented to the couple in 1963 by Pastor James Burrell, former pastor of First Baptist Church, Bainbridge, Ga.
Immediately after the wedding vows ceremony the couple traveled by military aircraft to Christ Church, New Zealand, Australia and Hawaii for a 60-day extended vacation.
