Carol Sue Lee, 67, of Thomasville, Ga., passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Sylvania United Methodist Church with Rev. Ronnie Wills and Pastor Emory Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Sylvania United Methodist Church Cemetery with Chandler Stencel, William Lee, Michael Lee, Marcus Lee, Gary Wynn, Terry Smith,

The family will receive friends Tuesday in the family home at 208 Yorkshire Cresent, Thomasville.

Mrs. Lee was born Sept. 9, 1946 in Bainbridge, the daughter of John William Howell and Bertie Whiddon Howell. She was a homemaker. She lived in Thomasville, for the past 13 years and served in many United Methodist parishes in Southwest Georgia including seven years in Americus while her husband, Rev. Lee served as District Superintendent. She was most recently a member of Thomasville First United Methodist Church, was involved with United Methodist Women, and a member of the Christian Fellowship Sunday School Class. She lived for her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Rev. Virgil Lee of Thomasville; her children, Dr. Allen Lee and his wife, Shae, of Thomasville,  and Suzanne Lee Stencel and her husband, Troy, of Thomasville; and her grandchildren, Chandler, William, Anna, Abby, Thomas, and Barrett, all of
Thomasville.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles Howell and Mary Frances Wynn White.
Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
