Roy Edward Harrell, 64 of Bainbridge, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 at Bainbridge Memorial Manor.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
Mr. Harrell was born on Nov. 3, 1949 in Bainbridge, the son of the late Lee Roy Harrell and the late Modena L. Robinson.  He retired from Engelhard Corporation, Minerals & Chemical Division in 1996. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, he enjoyed camping and being in the great outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years Kay (Hayes) Harrell of Bainbridge; his daughter Jennifer Harrell of Thomasville; his step-daughter Crystal Blackburn Walker (husband Jamie) of Douglas, Ga.; step-son Thomas Blackburn, Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla.; his sisters Betty Cauvey of Bainbridge; Virginia Thomas (husband Ronnie) of Climax; Vicki Bowyer (husband Gale) of Bainbridge, and Jean Johnson (husband Red) of Bainbridge; and two beautiful grandchildren  “The Love of his life” Kaden Renee Walker and his “Lil Man” Bryce William Walker, both of Douglas.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the wonderful care Mr. Harrell received at Bainbridge Memorial Manor and Hospice of Southwest Georgia Bainbridge.
