James Gerald “Jimmy” Kines, Jr.

Funeral services for James Gerald “Jimmy” Kines, Jr., 49, of Cairo, were at 3 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church, Whigham, Ga. Pastor Johnny Moore and Elder Jon Mizell will officiate. Interment will be in Tired Creek Church Cemetery, Whigham. Mr. Kines passed away at Grady General Hospital, Cairo, on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014.
Active pallbearers were Paul Whitman, Eric Cohen, Fred Raimer, Daniel Keene, Charles Harrison and Chris Kines.
Mr. Kines was born on Aug. 29, 1964, in Birmingham, Ala., to the late James Gerald “Jerry” Kines, Sr. and June Franks Kines, who survives. He lived and worked in Atlanta for 13 years. He retired from Flexible Technologies. Jimmy was a fine Christian man that loved God, his kids, and Alabama Football. He was a member of Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Whigham.
He was preceded in death by his father, two grandfathers, and a grandmother.
Survivors include: daughter, Shelley Kines of Whigham; son, Braden James Kines of Whigham; Carrie Kines, special friend and mother of Shelley and Braden of Whigham; mother, June Kines of Cairo; sister, Vicky Kines of Bainbridge; grandmother, Rosa Perkins Kines of Cairo; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorials may be made in Mr. Kines’s memory to the Tired Creek Cemetery Fund, c/o Juanita N. Faircloth, 2496 Tired Creek Road, Whigham, GA, 39897.
Clark Funeral Home of Cairo was in charge of arrangements.
