Mr. Joe Lane McLendon, 91, of Donalsonville, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at Donalsonville Hospital.
Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at 3 PM at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, from 2-3 PM at Colquitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Primitive Union Cemetery.
The members of the Gerald Grow Post #165 American Legion will be honorary pallbearers.
Mr. McLendon was a machinist at Miller Hydro and was of the Free Will Baptist Faith. He was a member of the Gerald Grow Post #165 American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma McLendon of Donalsonville; one son, Joseph (Gail) McLendon of Iron City, Ga.; one daughter, Ruthie Giles of Bainbridge; five grandchildren, Shane (Nancy) McLendon, Jennifer Cook, Jodie McLendon, Matthew (Alicia) Cook, and Sarah Giles; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Waver Perry of Colquitt, GA, and Alice (Bob) Josey of Jacksonville, FL.
