Rhonda Sue Knight West, 54, of Bainbridge, passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at her residence.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Worsley officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with Hoyt Anderson, Steve Bush, Scott Brinson, Jordan Austin, Colby Smith, and Riley Smith serving as active pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 432 East Shotwell Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
Mrs. West was born Oct. 2, 1959 in Fort Myers, Fla., the daughter of Jerry Lee Knight and Elizabeth Lucile Lambert Knight. She worked for many years for Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated as an administrative assistant and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Allen Knight.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Walter West of Bainbridge; her daughter, Natasha Powell and her husband, Jule, of Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Weston Powell and Taryn Powell both of Bainbridge; her siblings, Mike Knight of Bainbridge, Chrys Overstreet of Statesboro, Ga.,
Terry Knight of Bainbridge, and Renee Smith of Statesboro; her paternal grandmother, Frances Knight of Bainbridge; and her maternal grandmother, Virginia Lambert of Bainbridge. Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
