Gwyndell Dollar Phillips

Gwyndell (Gwyn) Dollar Phillips, 77, of Tallahassee, Fla., passed away Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at Ebenezer Baptist Church (Leon) near Tallahassee, with Rev. James Chunn officiating. The graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery near Climax, Ga. Chris Henderson, Derek Henderson, Bobby Dollar, James Georgieff, Huey Collins, and Chuck Collins will serve as active pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013 at Ebenezer Baptist Church (Leon).
Mrs. Phillips was born Dec. 31, 1935 in Bainbridge, the daughter of Robert Roy Dollar and Clara Bell Dollar. She worked with Peacock Electric and Seminole Electric from 1975 to 1998 and was the co-owner and operator of Bradfordville Petro. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church (Leon) near Tallahassee for many years.
Survivors include her children, Eddie Phillips, Tim Phillips, Carla Georgieff and her husband, James, and John Phillips, all of Tallahassee; her siblings, Tom Dollar and his wife, Dot, of Bainbridge, Annette Collins and her husband, Hugh, of Tallahassee, and Roylene Austin and her husband, Earl of Bainbridge; her sister-in-laws, Sybil Dollar and Pat Dollar; her grandchildren, Cara Phillips, Brian Phillips, Chris Henderson, and Derek Henderson; and her 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, James Edwin Phillips; her siblings, Ford Dollar, Ed Dollar, and Louise Joiner; and her grandson, Doug Phillips.
