Mr. Shelton Larry Redmon, 64, passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013. He was born Oct. 24, 1949 to Lloyd and Jewell Redmon.
He was a resident of Decatur County, Ga. and Walton County, Fla. He worked with the Walton County Road Department as a mechanic for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and visiting with family and friends, loved baseball and coaching little league. He enjoyed gardening and loved animals.
Mr. Redmon was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Helen Redmon Kelly and Christine Redmon Day.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Bush Redmon of Bainbridge; one son Shelton Redmon of Panama City, Fla.; one daughter, Kimberly Redmon of Auburn, Ala.; five brothers: Milton Carl Redmon of Opp, Ala., Phillip Redmon of Ponce de Leon, Fla., Donnie Redmon of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; Micah Redmon, Crestview, Fla. and Archie Redmon of Ponce de Leon; two sisters: Eleanor Redmon Warren of Samson, Ala. and Margene Redmon Colinsworth (Harold) of Gaskin, Fla.; and one grandson, Ryan Shelton Redmon.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at Reedy Assembly of God Church, Westville, Fla. with Revs. Jimmy Eddins and Carl Redmon officiating.
Burial followed at Reedy Assembly of God Church Cemetery.
Clary-Glenn Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
