A service of memory celebrating the life of Willie Lee Mills, 87, was held Saturday Dec. 7, 2013 at Emanuel Baptist Church in Fowlstown, Ga. with Rev. John D. Thomas Sr. officiating. Burial was held in Mills Cemetery behind the church.
Mr. Mills was born Oct. 14, 1926 in Decatur County, Ga. to the late Anderson and Beatrice Mills. He passed away on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013.
Mr. Mills lived a full and active life. He was married to his wife, Hattie Mae Mills for sixty-one years. He served faithfully as a deacon, groundskeeper, janitor and whatever capacity needed at Emanuel M.B. Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sons: Willie Otis Mills (Joann) of Houston, Texas, Henry Mills (Phyllis), Jerome Mills (Margaret), and Eddie Mills (Michelle) all of Atlanta; daughters: Gloria Mills of Savannah, Margaret Carter of Los Angeles, Calif. And Mary Mills of Atlanta; his brother, Charles Mills (Hester) of Bainbridge; ten grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements were entrusted to Guyton Brothers Funeral Home.
