Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at 11a.m. at Mt. Moriah #2 M.B. Church with Rev. Dr. R.B. Holmes Jr. and Rev. Dr. Haywood Teague, pastors officiating. Burial will be at Conyers Cemetery.
Mrs. Eva Durotha Harrell was a native of Climax, Ga. She graduated from Mt. Moriah High School in 1948 as the class Valedictorian. Mrs. Harrell worked at AS&T Incorporated and as a teacher’s aide in the Decatur County School System for many years.
Her most rewarding work was for those in need. She was a member of Mt. Moriah #2 Missionary Baptist Church for over 70 years.
She was preceded in death by parents M.L. and Pearl Elizabeth Wright and a son Larry G. Harrell.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 60 years, H.G. Harrell, Attapulgus; two sons, Bruce Harrell (Claudette), Tallahassee, Fla. and James F. Harrell (Loretta), Attapulgus; a daughter, Almarie Harrell (Joel), New Rochelle, N.Y.; brothers, Theodore Wright, Tallahassee, and Rev. Eugene Wright (Thomasina) Stockbridge, Ga; Sisters, Beatrice Brown, St. Petersburg, Fla. and Vivian McBride (Augustus) Attapulgus; seventeen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
Chandler’s Funeral Home, Inc of Attapulgus is in charge of arrangements.
