Prep for Thanksgiving at Your Library
As anyone in charge of a sumptuous Thanksgiving meal can attest to, preplanning and a lot of hard work is the hallmark of a successful meal. For fresh ideas and recipes put the library on your to do list. The Decatur County Gilbert H. Gragg Library has more than 509 cookbooks and DVDs, 281 of which are themed for American cooking.
There is information on how to make your own evaporated milk, how to bake a pie without soggy crusts and how to make sure turkeys are sufficiently baked.
Go to the 641s in the library to explore and research the tips and recipes that best fit the menu this year.
Or borrow one of our many cooking DVDs in the non-fiction DVD collection. Checkout or photocopy favorite recipes and tips.
Library Closed Thanksgiving Day
In celebration of Thanksgiving the Decatur County – Gilbert H. Gragg Library will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 28.
It will reopen, Friday Nov. 29 at 9 a.m. Make plans to visit the library in advance of the Thanksgiving Holiday to make sure you have enough books, music, and movies to carry you through the holiday.
