Lois Shepard Herring

Lois Shepard Herring, 77, of Bainbridge, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Weaver and Pastor Mark Worsley officiating, and will conclude in the church.
Interment will be at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with Joshua Herring, Dylan Warner, Jacob Warner, Michael Thompson, Timothy Harris, and Steve Warner serving as active pallbearers.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Mrs. Herring was born May 8, 1936 in Augusta, Ga., the daughter of Byron Couch “B.C.” Shepard and Lois Thomas Shepard. She was a dedicated homemaker and member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Don H. Herring, of Bainbridge; her sons, Donald H. Herring, Jr and his wife, Brenda, of Gainesville, Fla. and Ronald S. Herring and his wife, Dorothy, of Alford, Ala.; her daughters, Cheryl H. Harris of McDonough, Ga. and Karen H. Warner and her husband, Steve, of Lawton, Okla.; her brother, Billy Shepard of Ashburn, Ga.; her sisters, Betty Smith of Sunny Hills, Fla., Juanita Smith of Brinson, Ga., Patricia Hooks ofBainbridge, and Connie Clark of Thomasville, Ga.; her 7 grandchildren; and her 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers,Byron C. Shepard, Jr. and Jimmy Shepard; and her sister, Nettie Ann Irby.
